North Totton Extension (Phase II)
We are delighted to announce that White Peak Planning has been appointed as Project Manager and EIA Co-ordinator for Bloor Homes’ North Totton Extension (Phase II) scheme.
This exciting new project forms a northern extension to the original Land North of Salisbury Road (Phase I) site, which received reserved matters approval in December last year. Phase II has the potential to deliver up to 375 new homes, extensive public open space and Alternative Natural Recreational Greenspace (ANRG), enhancements to existing trees and ecological assets, and improvements to the local Public Right of Way network.
The reserved matters proposals for Phase I were unanimously well-received by Members at Committee, and the delivery of Phase II provides an opportunity to continue building on this success by providing an organic extension. Additionally, the scheme will make a significant contribution toward helping New Forest District Council meet its housing needs, particularly in light of the targets set by the updated National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF).
To date, White Peak Planning has been leading the coordination of the project team, working to assess the site’s technical baseline and constraints to determine its full potential. This groundwork has informed the development of an initial illustrative masterplan and vision document, which have now been submitted to the Council as part of the pre-application process.
We look forward to continuing our collaboration with the Council, and working with the project team to prepare and submit an outline planning application for the scheme later this year.
